If you need solid gold or 925 sterling silver (for example, for a metal allergy), this isn't that piece.
The band is open at the back, so it adjusts to fit most fingers — no ring size needed, which makes it an easy gift. Squeeze or ease it open slowly with gentle, even pressure. Avoid bending it back and forth many times, as repeated bending can weaken any open-band ring.
Plated finishes last longest when they stay dry and away from chemicals. Take the ring off before showering, swimming, cleaning, applying lotion or perfume, and working out. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and store it in a pouch or box. With everyday wear, some softening of the finish over time is normal for plated jewelry.
