The pens are water-based, non-toxic, acid-free and odourless, and the sets carry a CE mark. As with any art supplies, younger children should colour with an adult nearby — the fine 0.4 mm tips are best handled by older hands.
Because the ink is water-based, we recommend spot-cleaning with a barely damp cloth rather than putting a finished blanket through a machine wash. Treat the artwork the way you would a favourite printed tee — gentle handling keeps the colours sharp.
That is entirely up to you — there is no wrong pace. Most people colour a corner or a cluster of shapes per sitting over several evenings, and plenty never finish the whole thing on purpose, treating it as an ongoing project.
